East Columbia Avenue Construction update

On 8-24-20 Tapani will be back out on Columbia Avenue to continue the install of the new sewer line on Columbia Avenue from Miller Road west to Bird Street.  Attached is the traffic control plan that will be in place for this stage of work.  We will be using a detour on West Lane Road, Crown Zellerbach Road, and Miller Road to keep traffic moving around the construction traffic during the day.  If you live in the work zone you will get a visit by a Tapani employee to coordinate your access during construction.  There will be weekly updates to follow.

8-21-20 Update

Tapani will start moving equipment and supplies in on Monday and Tuesday next week. We will start digging on Wednesday or Thursday.  We do not plan on having the detour set up until we start digging.  During the set up time expect flagging and one lane traffic.

As we move forward installing the sewer line, do not forget that interruptions to construction do occur and these updates are critical for awareness. They impact our crew safety and resident planning. Please be aware that the project schedule can change from day to day as we do our best to provide a quality project in a timely manner.

Please be aware of construction activities at all times. This includes and is not limited to pipe crew member, flaggers, company vehicles and large equipment, dump trucks and their trailers and all pedestrian traffic.

Please obey all construction signing especially detour routes and flagger directions. Our flagging personnel are happy to help with any questions you may have. As the new detour starts, please be aware of all traffic patterns and traffic density in your area.

Please be safe and be aware of our construction workers as they are committed and focused on construction activities.
