Fall 2020 Street Sweeping Schedule
Fall 2020 Street Sweeping Schedule
Beginning Monday October 12, 2020, Public Works crews will begin the scheduled Fall Street Sweeping. This schedule is in an effort to help reduce the number of leaves within our community and most importantly to keep storm drains clear of debris. Our primary focus will be on streets that have curbs because these streets have catch basins that could become clogged and cause flooding. This schedule will be in effect through November. Please note that our crews may have to respond to an emergency and may not make it on a scheduled day. In the event that the sweeper does not sweep your street on a scheduled day, we will make every effort to return as soon as possible. Also note that this schedule is subject to change as necessary to provide the best service possible. Please have any vehicles, trash cans or any other items that may obstruct access moved clear on the day of your zone.
The schedule will be as follows:
Mondays – Curbed Streets West of Hwy 30 and South of EM Watts
Tuesdays – Curbed Streets West of Hwy 30 and North of EM Watts
Wednesdays – Curbed Streets East of Hwy 30 and South of Elm Street
Thursdays – Curbed Streets East of Hwy 30 and North of Elm Street
Fridays – Non-curbed Streets throughout the City that have heavy leaf buildup
**WE WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT RAKING OR BLOWING LEAVES FROM YOUR LAWN INTO THE STREET IS STILL PROHIBITED**
Thank you,
City of Scappoose Public Works
