DEQ STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT 1200-C
DEQ requires NPDES Storm-water Discharge Permits which regulates storm-water runoff to surface waters from construction activities.
Properties in Scappoose do NOT qualify for 1200-CN permits.
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Storm-water Discharge Permit info;
http://www.oregon.gov/deq/wq/wqpermits/Pages/Stormwater-Construction.aspx
THE TYPE OF PERMIT IS BASED ON LOT SIZE:
~~ Sites 1 acre or more: 1200-C Stormwater Discharge Permit ~~
http://www.oregon.gov/deq/FilterPermitsDocs/1200CappFS.pdf
Background: In Dec. 2016, the Water Quality Administrator for DEQ signed the revised National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater Construction General Permit No. 1200-C to be effective starting Dec. 15, 2015. The permit regulates stormwater runoff to surface waters from construction activities that disturb one or more acres in Oregon. (Properties in Scappoose do not qualify for 1200-CN permits.)
What you need to know: Construction sites disturbing one acre or more must be covered under the NPDES 1200-C. In addition, construction sites disturbing less than one acre and part of a larger common development plan or sale must be covered under the 1200-C permit. Examples of a large common development or sale include a subdivision or possibly a business park.
~~ Small Lots (less than 1 acre) 1200-C Stormwater Discharge Permit ~~
http://www.deq.state.or.us/wq/stormwater/docs/1200cSmallLot.pdf
Background: The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s revised National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater Construction General Permit No. 1200-C, which went into effect December 1, 2010, regulates stormwater runoff to surface waters from construction activities. (Properties in Scappoose do not qualify for 1200-CN permits.)
What you need to know: Federal regulations and DEQ’s 1200-C permit require permit coverage for sites less than one acre that are part of a common plan of development or sale disturbing one or more acres. Examples of a large common development or sale include a subdivision or possibly a business park or industrial park.
