Variance Application

17.134.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide standards for the granting of variances from the applicable zoning requirements of this title where it can be shown that, owing to special and unusual circumstances related to a specific piece of the land, the literal interpretation of the provisions of the applicable zone would cause an undue or unnecessary hardship, except that no use variances shall be granted. (Ord. 634 § 1 Exh. A, 1995)
