NOTICE OF A QUASI-JUDICIAL HEARING
The Scappoose Planning Commission has scheduled a quasi-judicial hearing to consider:
Docket # HO 9-25
Molly Guy has requested approval of an application for a Type II Home Occupation (HO 9-25) to authorize a psychic services business with up to 6 customers a day within a residence. The home is located at 51631 Columbia River Highway, northwest of the Havlik Drive and Columbia River Highway intersection, on property described as Columbia County Assessor Map #3213-B0-01300.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Scappoose City Hall, located at 33568 E Columbia Avenue. The meeting can also be attended virtually via Microsoft Teams (link available on the City’s website 7 days prior to the decision). Quasi-judicial hearings allow verbal testimony during the Planning Commission hearing as well as written comments prior to the deadline indicated below.

REQUEST FOR STREET NAME CHANGE PORTION OF SW VOLENDAM STREET TO SW ROKIN WAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public meeting will be held by the Scappoose Planning Commission, beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in the Council Chambers of the Scappoose City Hall located at 33568 East Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon. At this meeting the Planning Commission will consider a request to rename a portion of SW Volendam Street to SW Rokin Way and will make a recommendation to City Council on the matter.
The City of Scappoose is proposing to rename a portion of SW Volendam Street to SW Rokin Way. The portion of SW Volendam Street proposed to be renamed is south of SW Callahan Road, within the recently platted subdivision of Dutch Canyon Estates IV. The Scappoose Fire District Chief requested the street renaming.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Scappoose City Council beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 in the Council Chambers of the Scappoose City Hall located at 33568 East Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon. At this hearing, the City Council will consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation regarding the proposal to rename this portion of SW Volendam Street.
A map of the applicable segment of street, as well as other records concerning this matter are available in the Scappoose Community Development Center office at 52610 NE 1st Street, Scappoose, Oregon Monday through Thursday during working hours or by calling (503) 543-7184.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Interested parties may submit written comments to the City of Scappoose, Community Development Director, 33568 E. Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon, 97056 by 5 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
