NOTICE OF A LEGISLATIVE LAND USE PUBLIC HEARING

The Scappoose Planning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings in regard to the following matter:

Docket # CPTA1-17—DCTA1-17

The City of Scappoose proposes land use amendments consisting of the following proposed actions:

Adoption of the 2016 Scappoose Industrial Airpark Master Plan Update.
Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment (CPTA1-17) to amend the Inventories section and replace Appendix H with the 2016 Scappoose Industrial Airpark Master Plan.
Development Code Text Amendment (DCTA1-17) to amend Chapters 17.69 (PUA, Public Use Airport), 17.73 (AR, Airport Related), and 17.88 (AO, Public Use Airport Safety and Compatibility Overlays).
Update the 2016 TSP to include the 2016 Scappoose Industrial Airpark Master Plan Update as Section O of Volume 2

The Planning Commission hearing is scheduled for January 25, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Scappoose City Hall Council Chambers, 33568 E. Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon.

The initial City Council hearing is scheduled for February 5, 2018, with a final City Council hearing scheduled for February 20, 2018, at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The purpose of the hearings is to take testimony, either written or oral, regarding the proposed amendments. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council and the City Council may approve, approve with modifications, or deny the proposed amendments following the Public Hearing. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for inspection at the Scappoose Community Development Center (52610 NE 1st Street). Copies are also available for purchase at a cost of $0.15 per page for black & white or $0.20 per page for color. Interested parties may submit written comments to the City of Scappoose, City Planner, 33568 E. Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon, 97056 or fax comments to (503) 543-5679 by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Failure to raise an issue in person, by letter, or fax prior to the close of the public comment period, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision-maker an opportunity to respond to the issue, precludes appeal on that issue.
