11-18-19 East Columbia Avenue construction update

As of Friday November 17, 2019 the Columbia Ave Sewer project has been delayed up to 2 days. The pipe crews dealt with utilities that lay across our ditch and a water valve that broke incidentally with vehicle traffic. This caused the crews to close the sewer ditch earlier in the week than expected to repair the valve and service line. The crews were very close to setting the second manhole when they came across the service issue and did not want to risk having to work overnight if issues arose similar to the setting of the first manhole.

As we move forward installing the sewer line do not forget that these interruptions to construction do occur and these weekly updates are critical for awareness. They impact our crew safety and resident planning. Please be aware that the project schedule can change from day to day as we do our best to provide a quality project in a timely manner.

Please be aware of construction activities at all times. This includes and is not limited to pipe crew member, flaggers, company vehicles and large equipment, dump trucks and their trailers and all pedestrian traffic.

Please obey all construction signing especially detour routes and flagger directions. Our flagging personnel are happy to help with any questions you may have.

Please be safe and be aware of our construction workers as they are committed and focused on construction activities.

Thank You and Best Regards,
