Monday, December 23, 2019 East Columbia Avenue Construction Update

As of Friday December 20th, 2019, the Columbia Ave Sewer project is installing sewer between NE 14th Street and Miller Rd. The crews are more than half way between intersections and should be at the Miller Rd. intersection late this upcoming Christmas week or early New Year’s week. We have still been dealing with wetter conditions which slow our process substantially.

Two week ago residents experienced a shift in the traffic control pattern as routed traffic according to page 3 of the traffic control plan. Trucks shall still follow the designated truck route detour. It is imperative that safety and attention are paid to the resident and vehicles along the detour.

As we move forward installing the sewer line do not forget that interruptions to construction do occur and these weekly updates are critical for awareness. They impact our crew safety and resident planning. Please be aware that the project schedule can change from day to day as we do our best to provide a quality project in a timely manner.

Please be aware of construction activities at all times. This includes and is not limited to pipe crew member, flaggers, company vehicles and large equipment, dump trucks and their trailers and all pedestrian traffic.

Please obey all construction signing especially detour routes and flagger directions. Our flagging personnel are happy to help with any questions you may have. As the new detour starts, please be aware of all traffic patterns and traffic density in your area.

Please be safe and be aware of our construction workers as they are committed and focused on construction activities.

Thank You and Best Regards,
