BUILDING DEPARTMENT PERMIT HISTORY, please note the following;

• Check the Scappoose zoning map to ensure property is within the City Limits (yellow); Zoning Maps | City of Scappoose Oregon
• The Scappoose Building Dept. did not exist until approx. 1996.  If you are seeking any permit history prior to 1996 we might not have any documents.
  • The Building Dept. has an old ledger/binder from the county that logged general building permit data from 1979-1990. This data is very basic and often without any description of work or missing addresses.
  • In addition, Scappoose updated all addresses in the late 1980’s; from 3-digit address system to the current 5-digit address system. No data conversion was kept.  Most addresses in the historical building permit ledger are the 3-digit address.

• Per the State of Oregon Archives Division, residential plans are only required to be kept for 2 years after the final date although we should still have the issued permit document.
• Building Department permit data from 2009 to current can be searched via e-permitting; https://aca-oregon.accela.com/oregon/
