CZ Trail herbicide treatment area

The Scappoose Bay Watershed Council will be conducting an herbicide treatment on different invasive plant species on a parcel along the Crown Z (CZ) Trail, starting at Miller Road. Please See image below. Some of the species include Tansy Ragweed, Himalayan Blackberry, Poison Hemlock, Thistle and more. Due to the difficult nature of these species, this treatment is the most effective for removal. The treatment will be happening on Tuesday, October 21st, beginning at 8am until 11am. The herbicides used are a mix of Aquaneat and Garlon 3A. This work is necessary to remove these invasives and to allow the natives that have been planted in this area to thrive.
