Meet the Chief

The current Scappoose Police Department executive is Chief Chris A. Fluellen. Chris Fluellen is a Philadelphia, PA native who has been in law enforcement for over 13 years. Prior to beginning his law enforcement career, Chief Fluellen served honorably in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer where he honed his skills in leadership. Chief Fluellen has served as a law enforcement officer in the such states as Washington, North Carolina, and Oregon. Chief Fluellen has held numerous positions during his law enforcement career to include Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Interim Chief of Police. He has also held specialty assignments such as Honor Guard, Rapid Deployment Force-(RDF) Squad Leader, and firearms instructor.

The Scappoose Police Department's Vision is to be the premiere public safety agency within Columbia County, OR. With a Department capable of providing quality 24-hour services to maintain a safe and secure community while having a positive work culture.
