As always, please remove your vehicles from the curbed streets between the hours of 7AM - 4PM on the day your area will be swept.

PLEASE DO NOT put your leaves/yard debris in the streets as it causes equipment problems.

FREE LEAF DISPOSAL AT THE SCAPPOOSE SENIOR CENTER;
They have once again opened their garden for fall leaf disposal. Just drop off in garden area to the left of driveway entrance; 33342 SW Meadow Drive. Questions, contact Julie Stevens at the Senior Center 503-543-2047.

TIPS FOR PROPER LEAF DISPOSAL:
- Dispose leaves in a compost bin
- Order a Waste Management yard-waste container (1-800-808-5901)
- Obtain a burn permit from the Fire Dept. for your burn pile/container (503-543-5026)
- Mulch leaves with a lawnmower, to spread on your garden or flowerbeds for winter nutrients
- Take your leaves to the following locations;
* Columbia County Transfer Station 503-366-2613 (minimum fee is $21.25 for up to 840 lbs.)
* Free drop off at Scappoose Senior Center 33342 SW Meadow Dr. (garden area near entrance)
