Building Inspections

ALL BUILDING PERMIT INSPECTIONS MUST BE SCHEDULED VIA OREGON E-PERMIT.

The Scappoose Building Department performs Building Permit inspections;  Monday through Friday between 8am-4:30pm.  We also offer inspections outside of normal business hours, although it will require a special inspection fee.   

INSPECTION REQUESTS;

Minimum Notice Required

• 24-hr notice required for all Residential Permit Inspections. 
• 48-hr. notice required for all Commercial Permit Inspections.

How to schedule an inspection

• Use the e-permit website to schedule inspections; BuildingPermits.Oregon.gov
  • Be sure to have the permit # or the address
• Contractors can also download the inspector app (link is here).
• NOTE:  The options to text and/or call the 800# have been disabled by the State ePermitting due to low usage.

PERMIT NUMBERS;

If you don't know your permit number, go to the e-permit website (link above) to search by the address.

ALL City of Scappoose permits will begin with 759.  If you have a permit issued prior to June 2018 then your old permit number will NOW begin with a 759 prefix. For example; if your permit was in our previous permit format; mmyy-####  then your new permit number will be 759-mmyy-####.  For example, 0618-0001 would now be 759-0618-0001.
